What is SKILX?
SKILX is a skill-discovery platform. We organise courses, tutorials and learning programmes around the skill you want to learn.
Is everything free?
No. Free learning is a major part of SKILX and free options are clearly identified, but the platform is not limited to free resources.
Do I need an account?
No. You can browse and open resources without an account. An account is useful for saving items and tracking your learning.
Does SKILX own the courses it lists?
Usually not. Unless we say a resource is produced by SKILX, it belongs to the original provider.
Why can a free course still mention payment?
A provider may charge for certificates, exams, software, premium modules or other extras while keeping the core lessons free.
How are resources chosen?
We look at clarity, usefulness, depth, provider credibility, access terms and how current the material is.
Can I suggest a resource?
Yes. Anyone can submit a recommendation. Submission does not guarantee a listing.
Can a creator request a correction or removal?
Yes. Contact us with the resource URL and enough information for us to verify the request.
Does SKILX issue certificates?
Not currently. Certificates shown on third-party resources are issued by those providers and follow their own terms.
How do I report a problem?
Use the Report a Problem page and include the relevant SKILX or provider URL.
