How we curate

A smaller list can be more useful.

Every listing should answer a simple question: is this worth someone’s time?

We recommend less, on purpose.

A catalogue is useful only if someone has made choices. We look for resources that explain the subject clearly, teach enough to be useful and come from a source we can identify.

What we look at

  • Clarity and structure
  • Depth appropriate to the level
  • Credibility of the provider
  • Whether the material is current enough to use
  • What is actually free, paid or optional
  • Whether our description matches the resource

Price is not a quality score.

Some excellent learning is free. Some is paid. We judge the resource first and describe the cost separately.

Listings can change.

Courses disappear, links break and providers change their terms. We review reports and update or remove listings when needed.

Commercial relationships will be labelled.

If SKILX is paid, sponsored or compensated in connection with a recommendation, we will say so. Advertising and editorial recommendations should never be confused.
